Cryotherapy Equipment

Our cryotherapy equipment is handheld and freezes treatment areas from 1mm to 22mm in the consult room. This page covers clinical cryotherapy pens and spray units, not whole body cryotherapy chambers.

Choose CryoIQ devices that run on 25g nitrous oxide cartridges with no dewar to fill. Or choose a Brymill Cry-Ac liquid nitrogen spray unit in a 300ml or 500ml size.

They suit GPs, nurses, podiatrists and vets. Cryotherapy is for licensed practitioners only, and state laws differ.

Also called cryotherapy devices, cryotherapy pens and cryosurgery equipment. Brymill Cry-Ac units carry a 2 year warranty.

Call 1300 990 239 and we will help you choose. We match identical products from Australian retailers.

When to Use Spray or Contact Cryotherapy Tips

Spray tips > Liquid nitrous oxide sprays onto the treatment area without touching the patient. CryoIQ states the standard spray tip needs no pre-cooling and uses the least gas.

Spray tip sizes > CryoIQ Pro spray tips cover 1-6mm, 7-18mm or 9-22mm, set by the applicator diameter. Angled 45°, long 130mm and Gyn curved tips change the angle and reach.

Contact tips > A cooled tip touches the treatment site directly, for small or delicate areas. CryoIQ recommends contact tips near the eyes because they cannot splatter, and they must cool before use.

Fixed or interchangeable > The CryoIQ Derm Plus has one fixed tip, chosen at purchase: spray 1-6mm, or 1mm, 3mm or 5mm contact. The CryoIQ Pro takes every Pro spray and contact tip, so you can add tips later.

Liquid nitrogen guns > The Brymill Cry-Ac sprays liquid nitrogen through four apertures from 1mm to 0.4mm, plus a 28mm straight needle and a 78mm curved extension. It suits clinics that already run a liquid nitrogen supply.

Cryotherapy Pen, Gun and Probe FAQs

What is the difference between nitrous oxide and liquid nitrogen cryotherapy equipment?

CryoIQ devices run on 25g nitrous oxide cartridges, which CryoIQ states freeze at -89°C, with no dewar to fill or store. The Brymill Cry-Ac 0.3L and Cry-Ac 0.5L are filled with liquid nitrogen and hold it for 3 to 5 or 4 to 6 hours. Compare the CryoIQ Pro kit, Derm Plus kit and Derm Plus device against the two Brymill units.

What is the difference between the CryoIQ Pro and the Derm Plus?

The CryoIQ Pro kit takes interchangeable spray and contact tips, so you can add Pro spray tips or Pro contact tips later. The Derm Plus kit and Derm Plus device have a fixed body and tip, chosen at purchase. A spare Pro device body takes all Pro tips.

Should I choose a spray tip or a contact tip?

CryoIQ states spray tips need no pre-cooling and do not touch the patient. Contact tips must cool first, and CryoIQ recommends them near sensitive areas such as the eyes because they cannot splatter. Options include Pro spray tips, Pro contact tips, the Derm Plus device, the Derm Plus kit and the Pro kit.

Which cartridges fit CryoIQ cryotherapy devices?

CryoIQ 25g N2O cartridges fit the CryoIQ Derm, Derm Plus and Pro. CryoIQ states other cartridges will not fit, or may impede performance and damage the device. Brymill Cry-Ac units use liquid nitrogen, not cartridges.

Who can buy cryotherapy equipment?

Licensed practitioners only, and laws on who may practise cryotherapy differ between states. CryoIQ cartridges are not for inhalation or recreational use.

What warranty comes with cryotherapy equipment?

The Brymill Cry-Ac 0.3L and Cry-Ac 0.5L carry a 2 year warranty. Call 1300 990 239 for CryoIQ warranty terms.

Can I return cryotherapy equipment?

Yes, within 30 days for change of mind. You pay return freight, and the item must arrive like new in its original packaging. Some products have different terms.

Do you sell whole body cryotherapy chambers?

No, we don't sell whole body cryotherapy chambers or sports recovery cold therapy. This range is handheld cryotherapy equipment for clinical use.
